There are moments when I am completely sapped of strength: physically, mentally and spiritually. Sometimes situations, people and just my own thoughts can wear me out! It is in those times that it's easier to become discouraged because the enemy takes FULL advantage of our weaknesses...if we let him. I've learned that it takes a conscious decision to give into defeat, depression, and dismay. With that same acquiescing (giving over or into) of letting the enemy have access to my heart, mind and soul, I can muster up the strength to surrender to God. Yes, it takes strength to admit when you're weak. And I've found the only way to renew my strength is to humble myself and go before the Lord to seek His love, His mercy, His grace, His forgiveness and His power. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
We have no real strength outside of the presence of God; what we can do in our flesh is temporary. Oh, but when we seek the face of God, there is a strength that is full of peace and that comes from His eternal throne. Psalm 16:11 says, "...In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Let's take this opportunity to lay our burdens down at the feet of Jesus; He's strong enough to take it. And let's walk away renewed, refreshed and revived by His power divine!
Beautiful!! Yes, Keep pushing on and pass the negativity that enemy tries to bring. Thanks for the encouraging words!
